Is there a minimum order?
There is a minimum $50 order.
Can I order one bottle of ketchup or one
bag of cereal?
No. Aria Life is a bulk food provider. You have to order a case.
Some people like ordering items like ketchup only once every six months.
Many people who order a case will
split the case with family or friends.
Larger families enjoy having both the savings and the larger
supply on hand, especially items like cereal.
I would like to suggest that customers focus on the monthly
specials sheet. Many items only go 'on
special' once or twice a year. Even focusing on the monthly
specials sheet it is fairly easy to reach the
$50 minimum.
Why is there a minimum?
We do not charge delivery. Therefore, we could not maintain a viable business when people were
order less than $50 per order.
An example of an order might be (from Dec. 2008
monthly specials/price sheet):
1 case tortilla chips (12 packs) $41.95
1 454g bag of basil $12.29
How far in advance should I order?
On, or before,
the last date listed on the monthly specials page.
Also, if you ask for the price list, you will be automatically
reminded about upcoming due dates.
How frequently are orders delivered?
Orders are delivered once a month.
How do I pay?
Presently, only cash or cheques are accepted.
Payment must be received BEFORE your food will be
ordered until a good customer history is established.
Once, a good customer history is established, Aria
Life will be happy to order your items prior to payment
being received.
Do you provide a mail order service?
Presently, there is not a mail order
service except in special circumstances. (Please do e-mail Aria Life
with special circumstances
and every effort will be made to accomodate those special
needs/circumstances.)
Aria Life is working on an on-line store and will be striving to provide this service as soon as possible.
Is the Springer
Bone-In Ham SCD legal?
No it is not. Like any smoked meat, it is sugar-cured.
We are presently working on an on-line store.

Special Product Warnings
Ecover Dishwashing Liquids:
Lemon and Aloe Vera contains wheat gluten.
Herbal contains whey.
For people who are gluten and dairy free, Ecover does not carry a suitable dishwashing liquid. That said, many of their products are suitable and (in my opinion) excellent. But you must call and confirm with them before buying. Aria Life does carry the Herbal Dish Liquid but since the reason for our existence is to try and supply only gluten free items, we do not carry the Lemon and Aloe Vera flavour.
Nuts:
Most nut companies we've contacted have a 'may contain' clause on their larger bags of nuts (11 kg bags). In our home, we wash the nuts before we eat them. However, other people may decide that they need to take different precautions.
Oak Manor:
An excellent company but too much of a gluten contamination risk in our home. Therefore, Aria Life does not carry Oak Manor grains, even if they're gluten free.
Glengrove Organics:
Another excellent company. However, I was told by a representative that gluten contamination may be an issue.
Table Pepper:
A surprise for most newbies to the gluten free diet. Many cheaper peppers contain wheat. It was enough to cause illness in our home until we tracked it down. Beware! It is a good lesson in realizing that we really must read every single ingredient list for ourselves. Don't rely on anyone else to do it for you. Even at Aria, we've stocked items that we thought were okay but weren't. Everyone needs to watch their own tushies.
Rice Flours:
The flours that we get from Arva Mill do have a 'may contain wheat' clause on the larger bags. This is the same flour that many people buy in smaller bags but for some reason the smaller bags do not have the 'may contain' clause on them.
If you find that you are not feeling well, the two scenarios are: 1) Your system is sensitive to all grain and may need more time to heal. 2) Wheat contamination levels, though negligable, may still be too much for you.
Reconsider using squash to make your breads and waffles. Go to pecanbread on the internet to find out more about how to live without grain.
